Walkflection

Privacy policy

Your walks are yours.

Walkflection is made by GTO Endeavors. This page explains what the app stores, where it goes, and what you can do about it. The short version: your data is saved to your own account so it is never lost, only you can read it, and nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising.

What the app stores

Only what you create while using it:

Location

Location is used to draw your route and measure distance while a walk or run is recording, including with the screen locked. The app asks for permission the first time you start a walk and never asks for "always" access. Location is not collected outside a session and is not used for anything else.

Photos

A progress photo is resized and kept inside the app's own storage, not in your photo library. After you pick a photo from your library, the app offers to delete the original from the library and does so only if you say yes. The app never reads the rest of your library.

Where your data lives

Walkflection needs an account. It is built to hold years of walks, weigh-ins and reflections, and that record should survive a lost phone, a new phone, or a long break. Everything you create is saved to your account and kept in sync between your devices.

Your phone keeps a full copy, so walks record without a signal and everything is readable offline. Changes are sent to your account when you are back online.

Accounts and storage are provided by Supabase on servers in the United States. Every record is tied to your account and readable only by you; we do not look at it. Progress photos are kept in a private bucket, never publicly accessible.

The Compass guide

The Compass guide is an optional premium feature. When it is on, the app sends a summary of your Compass answers, your code and vision, and your keystone habits and steps to Anthropic, whose Claude models write the question for your next walk. Only what is needed for that question is sent, with no name, email address or location attached. Anthropic processes it on our behalf under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models. Without the guide, nothing you write ever leaves your account.

Signing in

You can sign in with an email address and password, with Apple, or with Google. With Apple or Google, the app receives only a token and, unless you hide it, your email address. We never see your password for those services. With Apple's "Hide My Email", the app sees only the relay address.

Payment

Walkflection is a subscription billed through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or bank details. The app only learns whether the subscription is active.

What we do not do

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. They are off until you turn them on in Settings, and nothing about them is sent anywhere.

Deleting your data

Signing out clears this phone and keeps your account, so you can pick up where you left off. To delete your account and everything in it, open Settings in the app, tap your account, and choose Delete account. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you no longer have the app, email support@walkflection.com from the address on the account. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account.

Children

Walkflection is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the app points you here.
